It was perfect. You illuminated being dismissed by not even giving yourself a presence. Only the perspective of the dismisser was permitted life. Even though the reader knows that she could hardly have completely erased you like that, it doesn’t matter. Because you ARE writing about what you experienced. But she is your voice. Your silent voice.
Here is this very complex relationship. Right now, that is what the poet allows a glimpse of.
